Kevin Marr
Established in 2009 by Kevin Marr, who has over 30 years of experience upholstering modern, traditional and contemporary furniture. His interest in the craft began as a boy, spending time with his grandfather, an upholsterer and French polisher.
Before setting up the business in the heart of The Grange in Edinburgh, Kevin served a five-year apprenticeship, developing expertise across every aspect of soft furnishing, then specialised in antique upholstery and the renovation of period furniture.
He has also taught adult education classes in upholstery for nine years, and in 2004 travelled to Australia to work with several interior design and upholstery businesses.

Volunteering
Thailand has become a second home for Kevin, who travels back whenever he can to visit family and friends there.
While he is over, Kevin volunteers with his friends at TMTRD, a charity caring for more than a thousand dogs and feeding street dogs across the region.
From rescued puppies to dogs given a second chance on wheels, it is a cause close to his heart, and one he returns to whenever he can.
